Okay, so today the little one must have been a tad better because the doctor did not mention 'she is really congested,' 'admitance,' or 'hospital' at all. We did get a home oxygen machine and are now trailing cords around the house.
The joys of a kid under two with a cold is an oxymoron that is for sure. I just wish there was more that I could do to help her out.
My Days, No Longer Boring
Thanks to the flu that is going around my middle child gave it to the whole family, from which she got from school. Tamiflu and Azithromicin is getting me and hubby through it but unfortunately it attacked my youngest pretty horribly thus she is on two breathing treatments and four other meds for symptoms of RSV. I am just praying that she does not have to be hospitalized to get more extensive treatments for this shit in her chest. I just wish I could reach down her throat and pull out all the gunkies.
So until tomorrow when I take my youngest to the doctor again I will continue the dang treatments and more. Another update will be forthcoming tomorrow afternoon.

There is a Ton of Snow
And the Kids Still had School, On Time!
Geesh, what was the school thinking, well...ok so they were not thinking. The schools north and south of us were giving the students, and parents an extra hour to get their kids to school but not us.
Anyway, I got them there and all was safe so I know I should not complain but it is like living up in Minnesota thankfully though our snow will melt eventually. The roads are barely if at all cleared off and we will be the last of the last to get anyone to clear our town of the snow. Hubby and I are having flashbacks of our days in Columbia, MO when we used to find mounds of snow on the side of the roads, middle of the highways, and parking lots.

Come Back Come Back
Wherever you are!!
I am back into the swing of writing on an almost daily basis so please come and experience the boredom I will share with you that at this point and time is my life. As a stay at home mommy there are times that very little is going on like today but of course every day is different because of the fact that each day the kids come up with different crises to make life somewhat interesting.

Our Shadow Cat Died
My son and husband are taking the death hard but we knew it was coming as she was losing weight and had stopped drinking a day or two before she died. My son cried off and on all day yesterday as the cat layed dying in the master bedroom. For four years the bedroom had been Shadow's home as she rarely left the room. Kev usually watches tv in that room in the evenings as well as plays his PS2 back there so had become attached to the cat just by the fact that they were in the same vicinity of each other.
Shadow was a stray cat that we adopted four years ago when she was pregnant and back then was unsure of anything that crossed her path thus she held herself up in our room. She was a great mother but did not like any of the other six cats that have blessed this house. My husband was the one person that she attached to the most and she learned to tolerate me probably just because I slept near him.
The idea of death for my four and a half-year-old daughter was a little confused. She believes that she died because she stopped eating and drinking and her body was worn out from old age. I remember saying something similar to our son when we lost hamsters (Habnab and Ert-Ert).
I will say that having animals has been a great teaching tool about life: the whole life cycle can be seen from begining to end.
Anyway, that is what happened yesterday after our DSL was put in.
